Perkasie Borough is now accepting applications from farmers and local food producers for the 2020 season of the award-winning Perkasie Farmers Market. Please be aware that space is limited and we may need to deny applications to ensure sufficient market variety. We have very limited spaces for vendors of craft items at this time. 

All vendors must supply a Certificate of Insurance, naming the Borough of Perkasie as the Certificate Holder, and evidencing general liability insurance coverage. Please email COI to Market Manager at

COVID-19 information for vendors: 

  • You may vend food, plants, flowers, soap, sanitizer, handmade face masks, handmade craft items. 

  • Pre orders and prepayment are STRONGLY ENCOURAGED, partly to reduce contact at the market, and partly to reduce the amount of time that customers spend at the market.  Make sure your online store or other pre order process is up to date and send the links or ordering information to


  • Masks are required. Wear a mask or similar face covering.

  • Sanitizer. Bring sanitizer. Use it to sanitize your hands between every customer.

  • Gloves: If you choose to wear gloves, you must change them between every customer.

  • Disinfectant. Bring spray disinfectant and paper towels or disinfecting wipes. Wipe down your customer tables every hour. No cloth table coverings.

  • Social Distance: Do your best to stay at least 6’ away from other vendors and from customers. Ask others to step back if they come too close. 

Market hours and setup:

  • Market runs 9am-12pm. You may arrive at or after 7am. Do not arrive after 8:30am. We are reserving the first 45minutes of market for our seniors and those with underlying health conditions, also for anyone wishing to pick up a preorder. We suggest customers shop in timeslots to help spread customers through the morning and avoid a rush.

  • Vendor booths are spaced at least 10’ apart. If you decide to use a 10x10 canopy you MUST have canopy weights.

  • Your products, if you choose to display them, should be behind you. You may park your van beside your booth to hold additional product. Customers may not handle product until after purchase. No cloth table coverings.

  • All prepared foods must be in an enclosed container. 

  • One or two tables should be placed at the front of your booth to provide a barrier between you and your customer. Use one table or area to set purchased products then step back so the customer may pick them up or bag them. Use the other table or area to handle onsite payment.

  • Ideally you will have one vendor handling product and the other handling onsite payment, partly for hygiene and partly for speed, to help move customers through the market quickly. Having said that, only bring the staff members that you need. Do not bring other family members. Do not bring pets.

  • PreOrders should be packaged for individual customers before you arrive at market.  PreOrders should be clearly labeled with the customer’s name and set out for contactless pickup in a dedicated area in or next to your booth. 


  • Sampling is permitted since Bucks County moved to the Green Phase. You must follow these Covid rules on sampling.

  • If you plan to serve food or samples at the market now that we are in the GREEN phase you must let me know. The Health Department will want to inspect your setup.

  • Absolutely NO SELF-SERVICE by customers. Customers may not self-serve a sample or any food, eating utensils, napkins, condiments etc.

  • Put the customer's sample/food/drink in the container and set it on your front table. Allow the customer to pick that up. DO NOT PASS CONTAINERS FROM YOUR HAND TO THE CUSTOMER'S HAND.

  • Per guidance from the Department of Ag, if you want to cut and prep food at the market YOU MUST HAVE A HANDWASHING STATION WITH POTABLE WATER. If you do not have a handwashing station then you must prep your samples offsite and bring them packaged.

On site payment methods:

  • If you are accepting payment onsite, contactless is best. If you take credit cards/cash and you touch either, you must sanitize your hands afterwards, and before you do anything else. Please follow these best, better, good guidelines:

  • • Remote payment: Set up venmo, Paypal, Apple Pay or similar so that customers can pay you from their phone.

  • • Credit Cards: If you need to accept physical cards do so in a way that the customer swipes and you do not touch their card. Disable the signature feature on your payment app.

  • • Cash: Round the price of your product to an exact dollar amount; do not make change with coins. Set out a basket or cash box so the customer can drop in cash. Do not hand change to a customer - avoid hand to hand contact. We are asking customers to bring small bills to avoid the need for you to make change. 

Pre Order / Pre Pay:
We strongly encourage pre ordering and pre payment,  

  • Provide market manager with correct information about pre ordering and prepay options for customers. Include a cut off day and time for market preorders. Update us (and your customers) if your pre order/pre pay instructions change.

  • Share your own pre order and pre pay instructions with your customers.

  • • Have a sign with order information at your booth so customers can take a photo

  • • Update your website and social media. Post and share frequently

  • • Share the market’s posts about pre order/pre pay and other market guidance as much as you can

  • Make sure your website or online store is up to date and references Perkasie Farmers Market pre order information.

  • Package and clearly label your pre orders before you come to market.

  • The first 45 minutes of the market is reserved for seniors and pre-order pickup.

  • f you need to take payment onsite for any preorders ask your customers to bring exact money and provide them with a drop box to leave payment.

We prefer FULL season sign ups. Drop in spots are available pending approval by the Market Manager.
Full Season: $175.  
Half Season: $125

Our FREE community spot, typically open to LOCAL non-profits and civic groups is suspended until further notice. We are not accepting applications from musicians. 

Vendors must supply own scales, bags, tables, shade structures, (CANOPY WEIGHTS are mandatory) and other items needed to display products and serve customers. 

When you apply, you will be "wait listed" until approved. Please follow the prompts to register for the wait list; you will be invoiced after we review and approve your application.

Important 2020 dates: 
January 31st: returning FULL & HALF season vendors given preference until this date
Feb 8: we begin reviewing applications from ALL potential vendors 
May 7th: Vendor meeting (zoom recording available and recommended for all vendors)
May 23rd: Deadline for receipt of fees and insurance
June 6th: First market day.

Vending is conditional on licenses, permits, payment and insurance received and reviewed.
